Registration of professional physicians

Membership in Spain is mandatory for the exercise of the medical profession.

Registration in the Institution of Physicians of Alicante is mandatory for all doctors who carry out their main activity, public or private, in the province of Alicante.

To register you can do it in online, presenting all the required documentation. Once thay have been approved, the registry department will advise you in order to get an appointment to come to the Institution in person to sign paperwork. The procedure lasts approximately 15 minutes.

The process will be completed once the Board of Members of the Institution approves the new memberships. After that approval, you will be provided with the membership card and stamp.

Your registered number is unique and non-transferable.

 

Fees

Fees will be paid after submitting all the required documentation and having been validated by the Institution registry department.

Institution fees are as follows:

Entry fee: €120.20.
Institution fees: €58.50 quarterly (It will be proportional to the months of the quarter from the membership approved by the Board of Members).

As of January 1, 2012, the registration fee between transfers of physicians members of the Valencian Community is abolished.

The time is extended by 5 years so that the facultatives who had been registered in the Institution of Alicante do not pay an entrance fee when rejoining.
